Zimbabwe's greatest celebrity, the mighty Victoria Falls, can be visited all year round. In the rainy season, the Zambezi River, which feeds Victoria Falls, swells into a raging torrent and reaches its peak between February and April. For wildlife viewing in the wilderness, the dry season from mid-May to the end of October is certainly the better time to travel. At this time of year the wildlife is easier to find at the waterholes and along the rivers. Because Zimbabwe neighbours Botswana and Zambia, a trip to Zimbabwe can also be combined very well with a holiday in the national parks in northern Botswana.
