In addition to purely informational use of our website, we also offer the option on our website to contact us directly and send us your enquiry. To do so, you generally have to provide further personal data, which we use exclusively to provide the respective service. This is the following data:

These have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions and are checked regularly. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities. As a data subject, you have no right to object to this and cannot take legal action against it. We cannot rule out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) may access, analyse and permanently store your personal data on US servers.

We therefore point out that the USA is not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law.

§ 4 – Duration of storage of your data

1. When you contact us by email, the data you provide (your email address and, where applicable, your name and telephone number) is stored by us in order to answer your questions. If this contractual relationship ends or you exercise your rights set out in §5, your data will be handled in accordance with your exercise of rights within the meaning of §5 and deleted where applicable, unless statutory provisions require longer retention periods. This is the case in particular where the processing is not necessary for the performance of a contract with you, which we indicate in each case in the following description of the functions. When exercising such an objection, we ask you to explain why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of your justified objection, we will examine the matter and will either stop or adjust the data processing or show you our compelling legitimate grounds on which we continue the processing.

§ 6 – Cookies
  1. We use cookies on our site. These are small files that your browser creates automatically and that are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit our site. Cookies do not harm your device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware.

  1. Session cookies are deleted immediately after you leave the website. Temporary cookies remain stored on your device for a specified period. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you or the web browser delete them.
  1. Cookies have different functions.
Many cookies are technically necessary for the website to function correctly. The data processed by cookies is necessary for the stated purposes to safeguard our legitimate interests and those of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR.
In addition, we use cookies that are not strictly necessary. You can also specify that cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. However, completely disabling cookies may mean that you cannot use all the functions of our website.
§ 7 – Data security

During your visit to the website, we use the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we use 128-bit v3 technology instead. You can tell whether an individual page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed display of the key or padlock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.

We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or deliberate manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

§ 8 – Hosting

Our website is hosted by an external service provider. The personal data collected on the website (see §2 no. 1) is stored on the host's servers.

The data processing in connection with the use of the host is based on Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR on our legitimate interest in the secure, fast and efficient provision of our website by a professional provider. The host will only process your personal data in accordance with our instructions.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with our service provider.

§ 9 – Links to third-party websites

Our offering contains links to external third-party websites, over whose content we have no influence. We can therefore not accept any liability for this external content.

We have no influence on the content and data processing on these websites. For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data, as well as your rights and settings options in this regard to protect your privacy, please refer to the privacy information on the relevant website.

§ 10 – Our own services
  1. Newsletter
  1. With your consent, you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about our current interesting offers. The goods and services advertised are named in the declaration of consent.
  2. For signing up to our newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after you sign up, we send you an email to the email address provided, in which we ask you to confirm that you wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm your sign-up within [24 hours], your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In addition, we store the IP addresses you used and the times of sign-up and confirmation. The purpose of the procedure is to be able to prove your sign-up and, where necessary, to clarify any possible misuse of your personal data.
  3. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. Providing further, separately marked data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your email address for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
  4. You can withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time and unsubscribe from the newsletter. You can declare your withdrawal by clicking the link provided in every newsletter email or by sending a message to the contact details given in the legal notice.
  5. We would like to point out that we evaluate your user behaviour when sending the newsletter. For this evaluation, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files stored on our website. For the evaluations, we link the data mentioned in §2 no. 1 and the web beacons to your email address and an individual ID. Links contained in the newsletter also contain this ID. The data is collected exclusively in pseudonymised form, so the IDs are not linked to your other personal data, and direct identification of individuals is excluded. Such tracking is also not possible if you have disabled the display of images by default in your email program. In this case, the newsletter will not be displayed to you in full and you may not be able to use all functions. If you have the images displayed manually, the tracking mentioned above takes place.
  1. Use of our web shop

If you wish to order in our web shop, it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data, which we need to process your order. Mandatory information necessary for the performance of contracts is marked separately; further information is voluntary. We process the data you provide in order to process your order. For this purpose, we may pass on your payment data to our house bank. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. b GDPR.

You can voluntarily create a customer account, through which we can store your data for later purchases. When you create an account under “My account”, the data you provide is stored subject to revocation. You can always delete all other data, including your user account, in the customer area.

We may also process the data you provide to inform you about other interesting products from our portfolio or to send you emails with technical information.

We are obliged under commercial and tax law to store your address, payment and order data for a period of ten years. However, after two years we restrict the processing, i.e. your data is used only to comply with legal obligations.

To prevent unauthorised access by third parties to your personal data, in particular financial data, the ordering process is encrypted using TLS technology.

  1. Registration on this website

To use additional functions on the website, you can register on our website. We process the mandatory information requested during registration only for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered.

The processing of your personal data is based on the performance of the usage relationship established by the registration pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR.

We store your personal data collected for this purpose for as long as you are registered on our website. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

  1. Applications

You can apply to us through the online application form on our website. You can also send us your application by email or by post.

If you send us an application, we process the data you have disclosed to us in it for the purpose of deciding on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Your personal data is passed on within our company exclusively to persons responsible for processing your application.

If we are unable to make you a job offer, you withdraw your application, decline our job offer or ask us to delete your data, your application documents will be retained for a maximum of 6 months after the end of the application process.

After the retention period expires, the data will be deleted, unless there is a statutory retention obligation or another legal reason for further storage. Other statutory retention obligations remain unaffected. If you have given consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR to the further storage of your applicant data in order to be informed about suitable job offers in future, we will store your data until revoked.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

§ 11 – Analytics tools and advertising

1. Use of Google Analytics

Where you have given your consent, we use the web analytics service "Google Analytics" provided by Google Inc. on our website.

Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. We have no influence over this.

We only use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation activated. Your IP address is therefore truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with further services relating to website and internet use.

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

In particular, the following data is collected during your visit to the website:

  • Your approximate location,
  • Your truncated IP address
  • Your user behaviour,
  • Pages you have visited
  • Your purchases and downloads
  • Technical information about your browser and your device
  • Your internet provider
  • The referrer URL

The data and the associated cookies are deleted after 14 months.

Data that has reached the end of its retention period is deleted automatically once a month.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the settings in your browser software accordingly; however, we would point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Data processing in connection with Google Analytics is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which was requested, for example, when you consented to the storage of cookies.

You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Google Analytics is used in accordance with the requirements agreed between the German data protection authorities and Google. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.

2. Use of Google Ads

The operator of our website uses the online advertising programme "Google Ads" provided by Google Inc. This enables us to display our adverts in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when a user enters certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). It also makes it possible to display targeted advertising based on user data collected by Google (audience targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate and analyse the data collected (e.g. clicks per advert, which search terms led to our advert).

Your data may be transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. We have no influence over this. Google Ads is used in accordance with the requirements agreed between the German data protection authorities and Google. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.

Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy:https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Data processing in connection with Google Ads is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which was requested, for example, when you consented to the storage of cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

3. Use of Google Conversion Tracking

The operator of our website uses "Google Conversion Tracking" provided by Google Inc.

This enables us and Google to recognise whether and which actions a user has carried out, which buttons they have clicked and which products have frequently been viewed or purchased. Conversion statistics are compiled on the basis of this data.

We do not receive any data with which we could identify you personally. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification.

Your data may be transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. We have no influence over this. Google Conversion Tracking is used in accordance with the requirements agreed between the German data protection authorities and Google. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.

Further information can be found in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Data processing in connection with Google Conversion Tracking is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which was requested, for example, when you consented to the storage of cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

4. Lucky Orange Web Analytics Service

This website uses the web analytics service Lucky Orange provided by Lucky Orange LLC, 8680 w. 96th Street, Suite 200, Overland Park, KS 66212, USA, so that we can analyse and improve the use of our website. Mouse clicks as well as mouse and scroll movements may be recorded. Keyboard inputs made on this website may also be recorded. However, the recording is not personalised and therefore remains anonymous. From this anonymised data, usage profiles may be created under a pseudonym. Cookies may be used for this purpose.

Without the separately given consent of the data subject, the data collected with Lucky Orange technologies is not used to identify the visitor to this website personally and is not merged with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym. Where the information collected in this way relates to a person, processing is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation purposes. Lucky Orange LLC, based in the USA, is certified under the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield", which ensures compliance with the level of data protection applicable in the EU.
You can find Lucky Orange's information on data protection at: https://www.luckyorange.com/legal/privacy

You can object at any time, with effect for the future, to the collection and storage of data for the purpose of creating a pseudonymised usage profile by sending us your objection informally by email to the email address given in the legal notice.
You can also object to data collection by Lucky Orange for the future by visiting the following website and following the instructions: https://privacy.luckyorange.com/

5. Use of Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel)

Where you have given your consent, we use the visitor action pixel ("Meta Pixel") of the social network Facebook on our website, which is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

With the help of the Meta Pixel, we are able to show targeted adverts ("Meta Ads") to visitors to our website during their visit to Facebook or Instagram. In this way, we want to ensure that our adverts are only shown to people who have actually shown an interest in our offers. At the same time, we can understand how users interact with our adverts and whether a booking or another action subsequently took place on our website (so-called "conversion tracking").

The data collected by the pixel is anonymous to us and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about the identity of individual users. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, so a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Meta can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with its data policy. You can find further information on data processing by Meta at: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

The Meta Pixel is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on our website.

To ensure data-protection-compliant processing, we have concluded a joint controllership agreement with Meta pursuant to Art. 26 GDPR, which you can view here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/controller_addendum.

Meta may also transmit personal data to servers in the USA. Meta is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and thus ensures an adequate level of data protection within the meaning of the GDPR.

§ 12 – Plug-ins and tools

1. Use of social media plug-ins

Social media plug-ins ("plug-ins") from social networks are used on our website. To increase the protection of your data when you visit our website, the plug-ins are not integrated without restriction, but only by means of an HTML link (the so-called "Shariff solution" from c't) in the page. This integration ensures that no connection is yet established with the servers of the provider of the respective social network when a page of our website containing such plug-ins is accessed.

If you click on one of the buttons, a new browser window opens and calls up the page of the respective service provider, where you can (if necessary after entering your login details) confirm, for example, the Like or Share button.

For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by the providers on their pages, as well as your rights and settings options in this regard to protect your privacy, please refer to the providers' privacy notices.
