But over time I have also learned that I don't always have to have my camera with me. Sometimes the most beautiful thing is simply to enjoy the moment. And not to experience it through the lens of my camera, but just to see it with my own two eyes.”

Maun – Moremi region
After breakfast you set off towards the northern entrance of Moremi Game Reserve in the Khwai region. Even on the way it pays to keep a watchful eye – the first animals often show themselves along the route. At Khwai River View, your camp for the coming three nights, lunch awaits you.
In the afternoon you head out on your first game drive in one of the most impressive safari areas in southern Africa. As there are no fences between the reserves, elephants, lions, buffalo and numerous antelope species roam freely through the landscape. With a little luck you may even spot leopards or cheetahs – perhaps at a waterhole, on the riverbank or in the open savanna.
For dinner you return to camp and let the day draw to a relaxed close around the campfire under the African starry sky.

Moremi Game Reserve and Khwai region
On safari, very early rising is generally the order of the day, as the animals are particularly active in the cool morning hours and in the late afternoon. But as you are on holiday, you may sleep a little longer today.
After breakfast you drive to the nearby poling station, where you leave the vehicle behind and switch to so-called mokoros. The traditional dugout canoes, in which you will explore the Mbudi Channel, are nowadays mostly made of fibreglass or plastic rather than wood, but the mode of transport is the same as centuries ago in the Okavango Delta.
Lean back in your seat and glide across the water while your poler, a member of the nearby village community, shares his knowledge of the flora and fauna on and around the Khwai with you.
After a relaxed and extraordinary safari experience, you return to camp for lunch. A little siesta is followed by another game drive in the tour vehicle, on which your guide, thanks to his trained eyes, can show you things you might otherwise have missed. Dinner and overnight stay again at Khwai River View

Moremi Game Reserve
The morning wake-up call comes before sunrise, as another exciting safari day lies ahead of you today. Your destination is Moremi Game Reserve.
With open windows and an open roof, you roam the reserve and, with a little luck, see four of the so-called Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard and buffalo).
Thanks to the size of the Moremi reserve and the surrounding private concessions, the region is also home to a remarkable population of Africa’s most successful hunters: the African wild dog. These fascinating animals hunt in packs, adapt their hunting method to their prey and therefore have a much higher success rate than lions, leopards or cheetahs when hunting. African wild dogs here hunt impalas, waterbuck, warthogs and even fully grown wildebeest.
After a picnic lunch in the reserve you continue your game drive until the late afternoon. At sunset you reach Khwai River View again, where a delicious dinner and the nocturnal voices of the bush await you

Today you have a long and exciting day ahead of you, so you are up before the first rays of sun once again.
Today's journey takes you to the legendary Savuti region, and although the drive is not short, you certainly won't get bored: the trip is a mini safari in itself, so keep an eye out for wild animals.
The magical Savuti area is regarded as an outstanding destination for anyone who wants to see lions and leopards in the wild. Not long ago the area became famous through documentaries about the elephant-hunting lions of Savuti.
After a long safari day and hopefully plenty of wildlife sightings, you arrive at your accommodation for the night, Thobolo's Bush Lodge. Here you can relax after an eventful day.
Put your feet up and refresh yourself with an ice-cold drink before enjoying a delicious dinner and letting the evening wind down comfortably.

After two early-morning starts, today you have the chance to sleep in a little and begin the day with a leisurely breakfast.
The short drive takes you to Kasane and to your lodge on the edge of town. Check in and relax by the pool for a while before a hearty lunch is served.
In the afternoon you head out on a boat trip on the Chobe River. Besides herds of elephants and buffalo coming down to the bank to drink, you also have the chance to enjoy fascinating birdwatching.
The park is home to many exceptional birds, such as the African skimmer, the African fish eagle, the lilac-breasted roller, the grey-headed kingfisher and the malachite kingfisher, to name just a few of the more than 450 different bird species found here.
As the setting sun sparkles on the water, you face the difficult task of choosing a photo subject: animals on the riverbank or a magnificent sunset. With surely stunning photos on the memory cards of your cameras, you return to shore and end the day with dinner and an overnight stay at Kubu Lodge.

For the best light and to avoid the crowds of visitors, you start early on a tour along the famous Victoria Falls.
With a width of 1.7 km and a height of 108 m, they are considered the largest waterfalls in the world.
After the tour you can stroll through the town of Victoria Falls or visit the large souvenir market. If you are interested in a scenic flight over the falls or a bungee jump, you can also book these on the spot.
In the late afternoon you meet up with the group again and head out together on a final boat trip on the Zambezi. Enjoy the gentle motion of the boat as you soak up the unique atmosphere of the sunset.
With a beaming smile you return to shore and spend the last evening of your trip with your guide and the other participants at a restaurant in town (at your own expense). You spend another night at Insika Lodge.
