We are always delighted to receive feedback from our guests. All visitors return from Africa with new impressions, and many are struck by the seemingly endless expanses, the impressive wildlife, the unique landscapes and the friendly people. Here you can read some of the accounts and experiences we have received from our guests.
Where our guests have been

Good day Ms Schwab
We are already back in Switzerland. I would like to thank you for all the organisation. Everything worked out perfectly.

The safaris in the three national parks were simply insane and the guide was obliging and competent. The lodges were all beautiful with top service!

Thank you very much for your flexibility and support, and for dealing with our concerns so smoothly.
Kind regards
Dear Ms Schwab,
we returned from safari yesterday evening. It was a unique experience!!! We saw the “Big Five” (the rhinos in Nairobi, however), a crossing (all ten zebras survived), a herd of elephants passing right in front of (clearly visible) Kilimanjaro, and much more.
We would like to thank you for the great, competent and pleasant way you planned and looked after everything! Only thanks to the perfect organisation (arrival, flights, accommodation, etc.) were the unforgettable experiences possible. We will definitely recommend you.
We would also like to explicitly praise Peter, our driver. He is always friendly, well connected, knows the best strategies, has enormous knowledge and obviously enjoys his work. So you can deploy him with (very) good conscience.
Thanks once again and kind regards

The four of us had a super great safari through the various parks.
Solio Game Reserve / Buffalo Springs National Reserve / Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
We were very satisfied with the planning and care from Ms Krone. We also had the best guide, our dear Emanuel.

We were sooo lucky and saw the Big Five after just 2 days, and always large herds with young animals, sooo lovely.
We were lucky with the weather too. After the safari we had another week on the beach in Mombasa at the beautiful Neptune Paradise Beach Resort & Spa to relax and take in everything we had experienced.
If we do this again, then only with Elefant Tours and Emanuel

We are still overwhelmed by this incredibly impressive trip.

Amboseli with its view of Kilimanjaro and its diversity of wildlife, Tsavo West with its beautiful landscape and many species of antelope. Simply breathtaking. The lodges were simply dreamy!

Also organisationally everything was perfect! From the booking with the great advice from Ms Krone, whom we could ask anything about our first safari at any time, through the contact on the ground, Alex, to our driver Justus, who could really say something about every animal discovered and even read tracks to find animals.

It was perfect!!!! If a safari, then with Elefant Tours!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this experience and for fulfilling my heart's desire.

Our Kenya safari was an unforgettable experience! We saw an incredible number of animals and experienced the impressive nature up close.

We were especially delighted by the camps in the middle of nature, where in the evening over dinner we could watch the animals at the waterholes – simply magical!

Another highlight: we were lucky enough to see Kilimanjaro. Our guide Manu was outstanding – top-notch professionally, full of humour and extremely well connected with other guides.

Thanks to his experience we were able to find all the important animals. He also taught us a lot about the wildlife, nature and culture. We can recommend Manu and Elefant-Tours without reservation!

We would like to say thank you! Elefant-Tours organised a perfect 3-week tailor-made trip to Kenya for us in Oct./Nov. 24.

Even beforehand, contact with our contacts Mr Brand and Mr Schuff was outstanding. Every question about the trip planning, and any requests for changes, were answered or implemented quickly and professionally.

During the tour you notice straight away that a great deal of passion has gone into the trip. We were looked after superbly from the start. Every wish was fulfilled.
We would particularly like to highlight our guide/driver Emmanuel! A real treasure, who with his calm manner and extensive knowledge brought his home country of Kenya closer to us.

This is already the 2nd time we have travelled with Elefant-Tours, and we can highly recommend this tour operator to anyone who is interested in Africa and would like to experience the dream of "Out of Africa" up close.

We are already considering tackling Namibia next year 😉
Thank you once again for working out the round trip together so brilliantly (the choice of accommodation was outstanding too).

This year we travelled to Kenya with Elefant Tours for the third time and returned from this beautiful country thoroughly delighted once again.

Whether Amboseli NP, Solio Game Reserve, Meru NP, Lake Nakuru NP or the Masai Mara reserve, everywhere we had great experiences and lots of fun thanks to our guide Emanuel. With his comprehensive knowledge of the country and its wildlife, there were exceptional wildlife sightings again and again.

One highlight of this trip was a balloon flight over the wildlife-rich expanses of the Masai Mara. It remains unforgettable!
With our many good photos and videos, the fascination of what we experienced only becomes fully clear to us after the trip.

For us it was a thoroughly successful trip with many lasting impressions and experiences.
A big thank you to Emanuel for his outstanding job.

But also a thank you to Mr Schuff for the perfect organisation.
The camps and lodges were dreamlike and the service and food very good.
Best wishes and keep it up
The Kriska family

Dear Mr Schuff,
our wonderful adventure in Kenya is now already two weeks behind us, and unfortunately I am only now getting round to thanking you from the bottom of my heart – also on behalf of my nephew Matthias and his wife Stefanie – for an unforgettable experience, for unforgettable impressions and encounters, for the great organisation and the high standards in terms of hygiene, our lodges, and food and drink.

Our loyal guide Kim was very careful in his driving and fulfilled our every wish. We really saw all the animals we wanted to see, and are impressed by the landscapes we saw on our drives to the three base camps, by the friendliness and cheerfulness of the people and by the service on site!

Matthias told his colleagues at his firm about our safari, and there are a few who were very interested too!

The balloon safari was also wonderfully beautiful, including the champagne breakfast afterwards, and neither Alexander nor Kim gave anything away….

Many thanks too for the time you took for my questions beforehand, and – a warm Hakuna Matata! Petra Eilers-Stawinoga

It was an incredible trip, we felt very well understood from day one. Simon, our guide, was very nice and could tell us a lot about Kenya. He was very fond of animals!

The moment we saw the first animal is hard to describe. It is certain that this was not our last trip to Africa! The lodges were very clean – everyone friendly and helpful.

Can recommend it exactly as it is. In my private circle there have already been one or two enquiries about the trip.

Here's to seeing you again soon and planning the next trip 🧳

Hello Mr Schuff,
I don't even know where to begin.
As my husband and I were already in Tanzania in 2018 and were more than thrilled with it, I have to say that Kenya is also worth a trip.
Our children were overwhelmed. A big thank you to you for that.
I'll start with our guide, Emanuel. He was really super nice, told us a lot about the country, the people and the animals.

He was always smiling no matter what challenge arose (stuck jeep etc.). We had a lot of fun with him and his German was really good. We could not have imagined a better one. Please pass this praise on to him.
The lodges and camps were dreamlike, and the service very good. At Illkelani Camp it was almost like family. It was indescribably beautiful, the staff very attentive and super friendly.

But we also felt very much at home at the other accommodation.
The food was very good and plentiful at every accommodation. (In Tanzania we could prepare our own packed lunches, which we personally preferred.)
Unfortunately we didn't manage the Big Five (the leopard couldn't be found), but that is like playing the lottery; instead we saw 6 cheetahs, 2 of them with cubs (which is truly sensational) and a rhino right in front of us. Of course many other incredibly beautiful animals. An elephant walked right past our lodge (Severin Camp), what an experience.
As a family we will never forget this safari, it was an experience of a special kind. Many thanks Mr Schuff for the perfect planning. 14 days of thinking about nothing, just enjoying.

The stay at Diani Beach was also very nice, you can see straight away that the monkeys live there and feel at home. We were greeted by the monkeys on our balcony every day, one even stole my cocktail. They are a bit cheeky, but not in a threatening way. There was something for everyone at the buffet, and drinks were also brought very quickly. The grounds were very well kept, the staff were constantly sweeping and painting. We found the pool very nice and large. Only the long wait at the pool for a coffee and the room service should be improved.
Overall it was a very successful trip for us, many thanks.
Warmest wishes
Your Strohbach-Schindler family

Dear Elefant-Tours team,
Dear Benny,
we would like to thank you most warmly for an unforgettable safari in Kenya.
The organisation of the entire trip was perfect, from the accommodation to the safari activities – everything was perfectly planned and described and more than met our expectations in every respect. For the whole 8 days we didn't have to worry about anything and could simply drift along. That was pure luxury. 🙂

Our driver on site, Emmanuel, also did an outstanding job of ensuring we had the best experiences in Kenya. His comprehensive knowledge of the wildlife and the region impressed us. We could not have imagined a better guide.

There are two smaller points we would like to offer as suggestions. The last hotel we stayed at unfortunately did not meet our expectations, and an alternative could be considered.
Furthermore, the packed lunches at the first accommodation (Masai Mara) could be more varied (it was the same every day:)

Overall, though, it was an unforgettable experience and we will definitely recommend Elefant Tours! You did a super job! It was a trip we will never forget.
Many, many thanks and warm regards,
Vera and Manuel

We would like to thank you for the great trip! We had a wonderful time in Kenya, with great experiences and impressions.

Everything worked smoothly and we could enjoy our holiday to the full.

We would especially like to highlight our guide James. Through his commitment, his warm and obliging manner and his incredible knowledge, he made sure the trip was perfect.
We would repeat the experience at any time, but then definitely with James again.

The trip was a complete success all round. The balloon flight will always stay in my granddaughter's and my memory.

The driver for the safari was very nice and tried to fulfil all our wishes. The accommodation was simple but clean, so OK.

Sands of Chale Island is a magical place. We enjoyed it very much. After returning from the safari we upgraded the room for the remaining days.

The rooms in the tower are also fine, but a little dated. It is very pleasant that, thanks to the island location, you really enjoy a very carefree stay (no vendors etc.). It was exactly what I had been looking for.
The tailor-made trip planning was very competent and friendly. It was already our 2nd trip with you!
Ramos is a very experienced guide with good German. He responded wonderfully to us as experienced safari tourists. The accommodation was also very good. Especially the somewhat simpler, small Mara Big Five in the Masai Mara was very good.
Chale Island at Diani Beach is a tropical paradise!
It was an absolutely successful trip! Thank you for the excellent planning!

Elefant-Tours' subsidiary Kenya-Experience ensured that our stay, from the moment we landed in Nairobi until our flight home from Mombasa, was safe, expertly organised, interesting and entertaining. They were flexible and took our wishes and moods into account while keeping to the planned schedule.

The quality of the vehicle (Toyota Land Cruiser), the abundance of fresh water, clean toilet stops and great picnic spots all helped make the safari drives enjoyable.

Simon, our tour guide, used his network of contacts and his extensive knowledge of Kenyan wildlife (having lived in the Maasai Mara for many years) to find great spots for wildlife viewing and to teach us about the behaviour of animals, plants, birds and insects.

His "bush eyes" spotted fauna that we did not see at first. He is an educated man with high social intelligence and a very safe driver and wildlife guide. We also enjoyed the classical music he played on the drive to the next camp, as well as the cold drinks at the sunsets in the Mara and Nakuru.

We are very happy to recommend Elefant-Tours' subsidiary Kenya-Experience and Simon to anyone looking for a great safari experience.

Many thanks for putting this trip together, which was organised perfectly according to our wishes. We enjoyed every single day very much!
After our arrival we had a lovely day in Nairobi and then explored Tsavo West, Amboseli and Masai Mara with our guide Simon. Simon was simply great, it was so much fun exploring the parks with him, training our "bush eyes" and listening to his exciting explanations and thus developing a feel for nature and the animals.

We were overwhelmed by the varied landscapes and the animals. We saw so many animals and were so close. We were very lucky and spotted the Big Five quickly and much more, including wild dogs. It was hard to say goodbye to Simon at Isebania on the border with Tanzania. Unforgettable: Tsavo West: at night the giraffe and the zebras right next to the tent, the crocodile sneaking up to the waterhole 20 m away…. or the monkeys in our room in Amboseli because we had forgotten to close the window properly (but they were quite well behaved and were only interested in the sugar sachets), the lions in the Masai Mara that walked past right in front of and behind our car – at first we thought it was a few adult lions – and then lots of little ones followed out of the tall grass…

With our guide Alpha we then continued to Lake Victoria, the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, all the way to Arusha. Different again and very impressive again. Really fascinating right at the start was the canoe trip to the fishing village on Lake Victoria, where we thought it would be "one of those tourist tours". We can only hope it never becomes one, because it was so impressive to be able to experience this simple village with all the warmth of the villagers and above all the many children around us.

With Alpha we again had a wonderful guide who showed us the vastness of the Serengeti with the big herds of animals – wildebeest crossing the track and it simply never stopped, crocodiles lurking on the bank, many grunting hippos in a hippo pool, vultures and hyenas with prey, a cheetah leaping onto our car … and the impressive Ngorongoro Crater.

The last week on Zanzibar was then another different experience; at first we caught a bit of the rainy season, but that didn't bother us. We explored the whole island on our own, the lovely beaches, sandbanks and turquoise water, and Stone Town at the end of the trip was another highlight. The friendliness and openness of the people impressed us greatly.

The five of us saw all the animals there are to see, besides the "obvious ones" also two servals and dik-diks; consistently perfect game drives.
Personally, though, I would also have liked to walk a few kilometres on foot. Our advice from Benjamin Brand was very good. Already for his patient handling of various special requests 🙂 and for his attempt to keep us reasonably informed about the development of the enforced stay in Mombasa, which unfortunately only succeeded with a delay for lack of a usable internet connection. Overall perfect advice.

Our guide Emanuel "Manu" in Kenya deserves 10 out of 10 possible points: friendly, humorous, competent, helpful, dedicated in searching for animals, best knowledge of fauna and flora, simply perfect. Witson in Tanzania was somewhat more distant, but did warm up and gets 9 out of 10 possible points.

The accommodation was consistently what you wish for in Africa. Where somewhat less luxury was offered (as at the smaller ones such as Mara Base Camp and Mara Siria Tented Camp), this was made up for, especially at Mara Siria, by the warm friendliness of the staff (and at Siria also by the fantastic view) and the family atmosphere.

The routing had a bit of everything. On this occasion I would like to recommend a balloon flight over the Serengeti, not cheap, but worth its price, a special experience. And I have rarely had such a good breakfast in such a wonderful setting as after the landing. And hardly anyone enjoys their job as much as Capt. Barry Birch.

Best of Kenya Safari & Beach Stay near Mombasa – early November 2022
Our thanks go to Mr Schuff for the perfect organisation of our Kenya holiday. From the flights to the transfers, the safari and the camps, lodges and hotels, everything was planned to perfection.

The camps chosen for the safari were dreamily located. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The catering was excellent as well.
Our guide and driver Emmanuel (known as Manu) was in a class of his own. He always had a smile on his face, and is friendly and very attentive. As a guide he stands out for his extensive detailed knowledge of flora and fauna and of the different ways of life of the Kenyan tribes. He is also very well connected with the other guides on the safari routes.

So after just over 24 hours of safari we had already seen all five of the Big 5 at least once. We were even able to witness live, right in front of our car on the very first evening in the Masai Mara, the successful hunt of a buffalo by a pride of 18 young lions. The giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, cheetahs, small cats and birds did not escape our notice either.

Emmanuel gently prepared us for the drastic consequences of the short rainy season that had still not arrived by the time of our visit to Amboseli National Park, and yet it was shocking to see the carcasses of the animals that had died from lack of food. In return, Kilimanjaro showed itself to us in all its beauty at sunrise.
Summary:
We had a fantastic holiday and can recommend this itinerary!

2 weeks from Kenya’s Masai Mara across the border to Tanzania’s Serengeti.
Unforgettable experiences in outstanding nature!! Superbly organised, with very beautiful accommodation (tented camps and lodges).

The guides from Kenya-Experience and Tanzania-Experience who accompanied us were great.

To finish, Zanzibar for relaxing, a dream!!

Tailor-made trip for 4 people, 4 to 24 October 2022
We were treated to an extraordinary trip. 1 week of safari in Kenya and another week in Tanzania became an unforgettable experience. Everything was superbly organised, the accommodation excellent. The nature with its inhabitants and unique experiences cannot be topped.

Lions urinating while lying down, ostriches mating, a lioness fighting with a leopard and, last of all, the lion roaring at night in front of the insect screen of our tented camp made the experience unforgettable.

In June we went on the 8-day safari “Best of Kenya”.
Because of the “high” price of a trip to Africa, we researched a lot beforehand and had the best feeling with Stephan Schuff.
Everything worked brilliantly from the start!
We were picked up on time at the airport and taken to the first hotel. Once there, our safari started the next day, after a short briefing from Alex.

Our German-speaking guide Manu really made the trip an unforgettable one.
We were blown away on the very first day. We are safari newcomers and would never have thought we would see so many animals on the first day.

Manu knew exactly where to drive to show us the animals. On the first day we were immediately lucky enough to see a leopard and to watch a beautiful sunset accompanied by two lions.

The accommodation chosen was also really great. In the middle of nature, accompanied by the most varied animal calls, it was simply wonderful!
Our guide Manu shaped the safari really wonderfully with his expert knowledge and a big dose of humour!
Thank you for an unforgettable Kenya trip!

After a more or less Covid-induced chaos beforehand, we were finally able to plan the perfect trip for us together with Mr Schuff. Another special thank-you to him for his expertise and patience.

We were very interested in northern Kenya because of its special wildlife in Samburu National Reserve and because of the white and black rhinos in Solio Game Reserve and Ol Pejeta Conservancy. To finish the tour there was to be a detour to Aberdare NP.
On 1 March we finally set off with Lufthansa to Nairobi, where we met our German-speaking guide Mano and the tour could begin. Thanks to him the trip became an unforgettable experience. We have often travelled in southern Africa, but this trip was something very special.

In March all the animals have their young, so we were able to enjoy unique wildlife viewing undisturbed and in peace. In Solio Game Reserve there were large herds of white rhinos with impressive horns. We also saw the beautiful Rothschild’s giraffes in large numbers, all against the backdrop of Mt Kenya.

Our experiences in Samburu and Buffalo Springs National Reserve were magnificent. Thanks to the knowledge and nose of our guide Mano, we were able to make wildlife sightings that far exceeded our expectations. Impressive was a family of cheetahs, whose antics we could watch, completely undisturbed from 5 metres away, as they ate a freshly killed gazelle. We saw the rare Grevy’s zebras, Somali ostriches, reticulated giraffes, vulturine guineafowl and the gerenuks, which occur only in northern Kenya.

The finale in the scenically stunning Aberdare NP is highly recommended. From the viewing platform at Arc Lodge you can watch a waterhole where there is almost always action.
Unfortunately the trip was over far too quickly and after 2 weeks we had to say goodbye to this beautiful country and a charming and funny guide.
Thank you Mano, we will be back.
Thanks also to the team at Elefant-Tours.

We, a group of 4 men, came back yesterday from our private safari in Kenya. It was a wonderful trip with great new experiences and superb wildlife sightings. The itinerary was planned by Mr Schuff and me according to my wishes. In the past I have repeatedly been on safaris in Africa, including independently with African providers. But now, in Covid times, I wanted the security of a German provider.

From the start I had a very good feeling about Elefant-Tours. No follow-up question was too much for Mr Schuff. Thanks to his expertise he could answer my questions skilfully at any time. Many questions about Covid too, such as trip cancellation etc., were answered in detail and in an extremely customer-friendly way. Once again, many thanks Mr Schuff.

The trip on the ground ran without any organisational problems. The lodges and tented camps were all beautifully located and in good condition. The safari vehicle, a Land Cruiser, was impeccable. With our guide Manu we hit the jackpot. Manu is a very intelligent, polite guide who speaks good German. He made the safari an absolute highlight. Thanks to his commitment we had fantastic wildlife sightings. He made us feel safe at all times. Through his wit and charm he very quickly became part of our safari group. He brought the country, the people and the wildlife wonderfully close to us. Manu, you were great, we will never forget you! Maisha Marefu Manu

What a beautiful, extraordinary trip! We had booked a 10-day safari, 5 days in Kenya and 5 days in Tanzania. It started in Nairobi on 26 September and the safari ended in Arusha on 5 October. Because of the border crossing we had two guides – one for each country, for legal reasons.

Both spoke very good German. Emmanuel started with us in Nairobi. With his passion and his knowledge he gave us a great time. We learned so much fantastic information about animals, plants and the country, and he patiently answered all our curious questions 😉

The entry process at the border was quite simple, as we had been able to prepare most of it online. Here our guide Daniel took over and gave us a wonderful insight into Tanzania.
Our favourite place on this tour was the Masai Mara. Thank you for the fantastic organisation and for letting us feel so at home! For one of us it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. For the other, the trip sparked great curiosity about the other countries of Africa.

We women, aged 55 to 69, are a travel-loving group who very much enjoy a change of scene and switching off from daily life now and then. We all have families and grandchildren too.
After we were able to experience a wonderful, perfectly organised private lodge safari in Tanzania with Elefant-Tours back in February 2020, it was clear to us that we wanted to have more great experiences with lots of animals in Africa. “The safari virus” has infected us. So in spring 2021 we booked another trip, this time to Kenya.

Despite the Covid pandemic we were able to set off on 1 September. We had all already been vaccinated twice, and the travel formalities for Kenya and back to Switzerland could be completed online without any problems and loaded onto our mobile phones. Through Elefant-Tours’ representative, Kenya-Experience, we were picked up in Nairobi and competently and perfectly prepared for and accompanied on our safari. With our guide and driver Simon, we hit the jackpot. It is incredible what a nose he has – he also has more than 25 years of safari experience. He led us through the Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha, then to Amboseli and Tsavo West National Park. Because of “Covid” there were very few safari vehicles out and about, and we were able to watch a great many animals for hours without being disturbed by other vehicles.

One highlight followed the next. All the lodges and tented camps that Elefant-Tours selected for us we can recommend very much, with the maximum number of stars possible.

After the safari we spent another 7 days at beautiful Diani Beach. There too we found that there were not as many tourists as usual. All in all a unique, wonderful trip that we can definitely recommend. Many thanks to the team at Elefant-Tours and Kenya-Experiences.

Incredible. Despite Covid-19, after great advice we set off for Kenya on our honeymoon. A safe flight, picked up by our guide directly at the airport and straight into the adventure.

A wonderful, breathtaking and absolutely safe trip that we can recommend.

So little going on here, the animals and nature simply breathtaking. Any time again with Elefant-Tours.

Dear friends of Kenya,
go for it! We dared and flew with Lufthansa to Nairobi on 11.10. The plane was full, but Lufthansa took meticulous care that only passengers with a negative test result no older than 48 hours could board the plane. Getting one on a Sunday was not so easy for us, but doable. On arrival in Nairobi the entry formalities were also somewhat more extensive and lengthy, but everyone is playing it safe and that is in our own interest too. It is the same in the hotels. Temperatures are taken everywhere, masks are compulsory in public areas and you have to disinfect your hands. After that, however, we were on our own with our guide the whole time. In the safari jeep, where the roof is open, there is no danger, and outside at the lodges the staff work wearing masks, so we could sit comfortably at the table.

In addition, we were in places the only guests or the lodges were only lightly booked. The surprise was Swahili Beach Resort at Diani Beach, which was actually fully booked, but that is down to a holiday week and so they have a great many local guests.
The big advantage at the moment is definitely that nothing is overcrowded. In the national parks you meet only a few jeeps and you can stop and take photos anywhere undisturbed, without anyone pushing. So we really had a lot of peace for wildlife viewing.

Incidentally, it is currently baby animal season. It is so cute to watch, and the migration is late this year; we have now seen the beginning. So, give yourselves a push, set off and enjoy this unique Kenya, so quiet and with few tourists.

This opportunity will certainly not come again any time soon. And if you are looking for a dedicated and competent guide, ask for Simon. By the end he was like a friend to us. We learned so much about the animal and plant life, as well as about politics and society. We are so glad we dared and can only encourage you to try it too.
Kind regards
Dirk and Petra

We are 4 friends who dreamed of Kenya. So we asked Elefant-Tours, whom we know very well, to put together a safari to our wishes. On 4 February, after the detailed briefing, our adventure began, heading for Amboseli NP. We made friends with our driver and guide Emanuel straight away. Happily, he spoke surprisingly good German and we laughed a lot together. Even before the gate we were greeted by zebras and giraffes as well as a sweet pair of dik-diks. What luck: we were even able to spot a gerenuk. Soon Emanuel had to prove his driving skills. Kenya had just had its heaviest rainfall in 40 years. As a result, road conditions in Amboseli were also catastrophic. We checked in for 6 nights at Ol Tukai Lodge. Very friendly service, a pleasant ambience and a dream view of Kilimanjaro crowned our holiday mood. Besides the extensive, very successful game drives, we were able to enjoy a fine lunch at the lodge each day instead of a packed lunch. And there was also enough time for a little chat over afternoon tea. We value quality of life very highly. Rushing from lodge to lodge achieves nothing but stress. Here we experienced a rendezvous with hundreds of elephants.

We admired their calm and composure. I believe you can even recharge your mental strength from them. The lagoons and swamps had attracted extremely numerous birds, which particularly delighted us.

We then stayed for 3 days at Lake Naivasha Resort. Grazing zebras and waterbuck and even a sleeping giraffe in front of our bungalow left us simply marvelling. A highlight was the walk right through giraffes on Crescent Island. The animals are not tame, but they tolerate the closeness of curious guests.

By then we had arrived in the Masai Mara, at Julia’s River Camp. We fell in love with the place in the middle of the bush immediately: a genuine safari ambience. Although the infrastructure was simple, we always had everything we needed. The very friendly, attentive Maasai saw to that. Even when we came back hungry from the game drive very late, the cook was waiting with a delicious lunch for us. They all deserve honest praise. In this park too we had enchanting and intense wildlife viewing. Cheetahs, lions and even a leopard surprised us several times. The herds of gazelles and antelopes delighted us as well, as did small animals and birds of all kinds. Although the weather had fortunately been fine for days, the road conditions were in places still very precarious because of mud and swamp. Emanuel mastered all the difficulties superbly. But there were still places where even he sensibly had to give up.
Rich in deep impressions and unforgettable experiences, we say goodbye to Kenya.
The conclusion of our safari: everything worked out perfectly thanks to the very good organisation by Elefant-Tours. Of course, Emanuel’s comprehensive knowledge and driving skill also contributed to the success. Our group thanks you most warmly for everything!

Hello Alex! We are back in Germany by now. We were in the group that had to be evacuated from Ilkeliani Camp. Despite many wet tracks in all the parks (where we lost some time) and vehicles getting stuck, we were still very lucky, saw a good deal and spent unforgettable days.

Here, too, thanks to you for your efforts (especially on the day of the flooding) and for the organisation.

But we would also like to mention our driver, Juma (Anelka) 🙂

You couldn’t ask for a better one. He was simply super and did everything for us. Big praise to him – perhaps you could pass that on to him directly once more. Thumbs up 👍🏻 Gladly again and again with him.
We wish you a good time. Take care. THANKS!!!!!
We were in Kenya with our 7-year-old daughter from 30.09. to 12.10.2019.
After a short overnight stop in Nairobi, we were greeted in the morning first by Alex, who gave us all the important information and was always reachable. Afterwards we drove with our guide Eli to the Masai Mara. There we had three unforgettable days and nights…
You can hardly get more animals, and the nightly visit of the hippos and buffalo at the tent was a special experience. The staff at Julia’s River Camp and very especially Eli were absolutely top. You can hardly get friendlier…
After that we spent another 8 days at Diani Beach for a beach holiday. Here too we had a dreamily beautiful time.
As on our first trip with Elefant Tours in 2018 (then a 3-week South Africa self-drive tour), everything was once again perfectly planned and carried out by our adviser Stephan Schuff this time too!!!
We certainly were not in Africa with Elefant Tours for the last time.
Kind regards
The Sauthoff family

Our Kenya safari with our guide Simon from Kenya Experience (Elefant-Tours’ local partner organisation) was an unforgettable, fantastic trip through the national parks of Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and Tsavo West. We began in the Masai Mara, where we saw a great variety of different animals. Right after the park entrance a leopard was hiding under a bush, twice we saw a large pride of lions lazing in the shade. One day we followed a cheetah on the hunt for hours and observed its behaviour.

Simon always knew where there was something exciting to see and explained the habits of the large and also the small animals, such as the kingfisher. Simon was almost as excited as we were and always found it hard to stop following a track. The big safari truck was well equipped (even with a small fridge) and took us safely everywhere and, considering the “roads”, quite comfortably. The organisation of the whole tour was perfect. Many thanks for that to Elefant Tours, in particular to Markus Vonderstraß for the very good advice beforehand.
