Safaris in Uganda

Uganda is known above all for its wild mountain gorillas. But on Uganda safaris you experience much more: besides the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and the chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, in Uganda you can also see tree-climbing lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park and the shoebill in Lake Mburo National Park. The impressive nature and wildlife will stay in your memory for a long time.

Highlights on safaris in Uganda

Uganda trips make the heart of every Africa connoisseur and individualist beat faster. Fewer visitors than in other countries make for an exclusive and individual experience. The gorilla safaris (gorilla trekking) are unique. The best regions for further activities in the wild are Queen Elizabeth National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Bwindi National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park and Mgahinga National Park. Guest feedback“The Uganda safari was our first Africa experience, but certainly not our last. Wonderful people, lots of animals and simply a wonderful country.”
— Tobi and Verena

As in every East African country, Uganda has its long rainy season from the end of March to the beginning of June. Safari lovers should rather avoid these months, as many roads then become soft and now and then impassable. Visitors who are only interested in gorilla tracking can do so all year round. The mountain slopes of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest let rain clouds rain down all year, so rain must be expected in this region in any season. If you wish, you can combine a safari to Uganda with a beach stay on Zanzibar or the beaches of Kenya. Of course, the sights of Kenya and Tanzania can also be combined with Uganda.
