Maun – Okavango Delta
Early in the morning, the tour to the highlights of Botswana begins with a drive to the southern tip of the Okavango Delta. Your equipment is loaded onto traditional mokoros (dugout canoes), and then your varied excursion into the Okavango Delta begins. Enjoy the peaceful journey along the waterways and the unique landscape. You spend two nights on an island in complete wilderness and explore this beautiful area on nature walks on foot and by mokoro dugout canoe.
1 x breakfast | 2 x lunch | 2 x dinner
Important | You leave your main luggage in the trailer and take only a small bag (rucksack, hand luggage) with the things you need for the next 2 days on the island. The journey from the mainland is made in traditional dugout canoes (mokoro), which do not allow larger luggage. Your main luggage is safely stowed in the vehicle and kept on a secured site while you are on the island.

You spend the next few days on game drives in the morning and afternoon. During the hottest part of the day you relax in camp. Let the beauty and stillness of this impressive nature sink in. To explore a different part of the area as well, you will set up camp at a different site on day 6. You spend two nights in the western part and one night in the eastern part of the reserve on private campsites in the heart of nature, right next to the wildlife.

On day 7 you search for wildlife in the scenically varied dry areas of the Savuti region. Nowhere in Botswana are the chances higher of seeing big cats such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and, above all, African wild dogs. On day 7 the camp is in the Savuti marsh area. On day 8 you continue north to the Chobe River. Along the river you go on game drives and observe the rich animal and bird life. For the following two nights you stay on private campsites close to the Chobe River.
