Maun – Moremi Game Reserve
Driving distance: game drives
Your safari guide welcomes the group at Maun Airport around midday. After a short briefing, you are flown by light aircraft directly to Moremi Game Reserve. The mighty Okavango River, which fans out in Botswana, forms the world’s largest inland delta here – the Okavango Delta. You eat your first meal on the way in the form of a packed lunch. You reach the camp for the next two nights, which has been set up for the group in the meantime, just in time for sundowners. A fragrant and delicious dinner under the starry African sky rounds off the first day of safari. On arrival at camp, your helpful crew awaits you with cold drinks, a campfire and a delicious dinner. You spend your first night in your walk-in mobile tent, in the midst of Botswana’s wild nature.

Moremi Game Reserve
Driving distance: game drives
The group spends today on game drives within Moremi Game Reserve. The reserve is one of the most beautiful and wildlife-rich on the African continent. Among other things, it is part of the unique Okavango ecosystem. The Moremi Reserve covers an area of 5,000 km2, which makes up a third of the gigantic delta. Dinner and night in camp.

Moremi Game Reserve – Khwai Region
After a relaxed breakfast in camp, the group moves on towards the Khwai region, which is reached after approx. 4–6 hours (depending on road conditions). On the way, a stop is made for refreshments in the form of a packed lunch. The Khwai River forms a border between the village named after the river and Moremi Game Reserve. You spend your safari in the remote Khwai region within Moremi Game Reserve. The following days are spent exploring the floodplain landscape. Here you also have the opportunity to explore the Okavango Delta on a two-and-a-half-hour excursion by mokoro (dugout canoe). The mokoros are steered by so-called “polers”, all from the Khwai community, who know the many winding waterways like the back of their hand. Dinner and night in camp.

Moremi Game Reserve (Khwai Region) – Chobe National Park
This morning, after breakfast and once camp has been struck, you continue north to Chobe National Park. The group spends the next three nights in the wildlife-rich Savuti region of Chobe. The national park is very well known for its huge herds of elephants, which sometimes number up to 300 animals. The once so dry region has only been supplied with water again by the Savuti Channel since 2010. It had not flowed for 30 years. Thanks to the newly flowing water, a kind of migration of zebras, kudus, impalas and wildebeest takes place here, as well as of course the predators that follow these herds. Over the next few days you will explore the western part of Chobe National Park. In the evening you return to camp each time, where a delicious dinner awaits you. Let the day fade away by the campfire under an impressive starry sky and to the sounds of the wildlife. Night in camp.
Day 9-10Chobe River
Driving distance: approx. 70 km; pure driving time approx. 2–3 hours + game drives

Chobe River
The itinerary takes the group further north to the Chobe River today. For the last two nights, camp is set up in the immediate vicinity of the river. The banks of the Chobe are especially impressive for their abundance of African wildlife, such as lions, hippos, buffalo, lechwe, the very rare African wild dogs and sable antelope. Of course, here too you explore the different areas of the park on game drives. On day 9 you also experience a water-based safari on a boat on the Chobe River. Bumpy roads, dust and detours are a thing of the past here. You can drive right up to the animals that come down to the bank to drink. Dinner and night in camp.
Day 11Chobe National Park – Kasane
Driving distance: approx. 50 km; pure driving time approx. 1 hour
